Video To Blog AI Review

Background

Today, I wanted to write an article on a new text-to-video model, or (more accurately) a plugin for already available video diffusion models that guides the movement of objects in AI-generated videos, Boximator.

A research team at ByteDance published a paper on Boximator and a YouTube video explaining how it works. However, there was technical jargon that needed explanation, which I intended to add manually, and a lot of basic stuff that an AI could handle. I tried everything from Chat GPT to Gemini but wasn’t satisfied with the results (there was nothing on the internet about Baximator they could plagiarize, to be precise.) They missed a lot of basic things and added fluff that would send my readers away.

Frustrated, I finally decided to spin the transcript of their YouTube video, and I came across this tool.

That was how I discovered this tool and was so impressed that I decided to review it first.

What is Video To Blog?

Video To Blog does two things:

  • Takes your YouTube video URL and extracts its transcript.
  • Uses Chat GPT to write a unique blog post based on the transcript.

So, this tool is two-in-one: a YouTube video transcript generator and an AI article writer.

The Good

First, Video To Blog is lightning fast. I’ve tried a lot of YouTube video transcript generators, and they take a lot of time. On the other hand, Video To Blog takes a few seconds from the moment you give it a URL to write an entire article based on that URL. Four to five seconds may be… not more, I’m sure.

Second, I’ve used a lot of YouTube video transcript generators that don’t get it right more often than they do. However, Video To Blog couldn’t have been better in this regard.

Then, there are a lot of (paid and free) features/customization options. See the image below.

Finally, there are further options once your blog post is ready. See the image below.

Oh, I forgot about the export options. Here they are:

Pricing

You can generate three blog posts from YouTube videos per month or pay $14/month for unlimited usage.

Verdict

Video To Blog is the perfect tool for those who know what they’re doing. There’s a potential for abuse… to infringe on others’ work. I don’t know if it’s illegal to repurpose others’ videos into blog posts for your website, but it’s certainly unethical.

But I shouldn’t assume things. You can use it for fun, for research, or to convert your own videos into blog posts.
